Accessibility Statement
We hope this relatively new website has been useful to residents and visitors alike. However, we recognise there is room for improvement and welcome constructive comments. In order to meet the requirements of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) we are currently evaluating this website in order to determine the extent to which it is compliant with accessibility standards. We share the belief that websites such as this should be accessible to all members of the community and will be considering this website’s suitability for those with visual, hearing, physical and cognitive disabilities. The evaluation process undertaken by the Parish Council began in August 2020 and a plan of action will be drawn up and published following the council’s full meeting on October 13th 2020. This is likely to include remedies such as adjustments to fonts and font sizes, alternative ways to access content and a consideration of technical issues such as accessing the website on a mobile device.
